The Vineyard Picnic is our new formula. €42 per person, reservation required. You begin with a guided walk through the vineyards of Domaine des Hautes Collines (certified organic AB), then descend for a gourmet picnic in the heart of the vineyard (cured meats, cheeses, fresh bread, seasonal fruit), accompanied by a guided tasting of 5 vintages. You leave with the view, the aromas, and probably a few bottles.

The order of events during a picnic at the Domaine
The pace is intentionally calm. No rush, no marketing pitch. A real stroll, a real break, a real moment of sharing.
- Welcome to the estate. We welcome you in the courtyard, in front of the cellar. A quick word about the history of the Domaine, founded in 2000 by Georges Rasse, passed on to his son Mathias.
- A stroll through the vineyards. At an altitude of 400m, facing due south, protected by the Baou de Saint-Jeannet. We show you the planted grape varieties (Merlot, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet, Gamay, Muscat), the work in organic farming, the cover crops between the rows.
- Picnic setup. Tables or blankets depending on the weather, facing the panorama of the French Riviera. On a clear day, you can see the sea.
- Guided tasting of 5 vintages. Pressoir Romain (white, rosé, red), Tuilé de Saint-Jeannet, and one of our rare vintages of naturally sweet wine. Meanwhile, you can nibble on the platter: local charcuterie, regional cheeses, fresh bread, and seasonal fruit.
- Back to the cellar. The wines tasted can be purchased at estate prices. There is no obligation.

Why a picnic rather than lunch at a restaurant?
On the Nice seafront, a lunch at a restaurant can easily turn into 50-70 € per person For a tourist menu lacking in charm. The Picnic at the Estate is:
- A unique setting : 9 hectares of organically farmed vineyards, panoramic Côte d'Azur view, 400 m altitude.
- A direct contact with the winemaker, not a standardized service.
- Of the local products and seasonal, not an industrial menu.

+ Can a picnic be done in all weather conditions?
Yes, all year round. In good weather, you can have your picnic right in the middle of the vineyards. In case of rain or strong winds, you can move to the shelter of the terrace or the vaulted cellar. The walk can be shortened or replaced with a longer visit to the cellar, depending on the conditions.
How many people can a picnic accommodate?
The standard package accommodates 2 to 12 people. For larger groups (seminars, hen parties, birthdays), we offer a customized group package; please contact us directly by phone to discuss your needs.
Are children allowed?
Yes, for children aged 8 and up, with a parent present. For children, the tasting is replaced with grape juice or water. Children's price: please contact us.
How to get to the Domaine from Nice?
By car, approximately 20 minutes: A8 exit Saint-Laurent-du-Var, direction Saint-Jeannet, then Chemin des Sausses. Free parking on site. By public transport: Lignes d'Azur bus line from Nice (the Domaine is 1.5 km from the Saint-Jeannet village centre stop, allow 20 minutes uphill walk).

Yes. The tour and tasting can be conducted in French, English, and Spanish. Please specify your preference when booking so we can make the necessary arrangements.
How do I cancel or modify a reservation?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours in advance. Date changes are always possible subject to availability. Beyond that, a flat fee may be charged for any trips already booked (please contact us directly for details).
